My son is 10. Since he’s been born, I’ve owned...’04 RX8, ‘01 V70XC, ‘12 Tundra CrewMax, ‘14 FoST, ‘15 Tacoma, ‘19 4Runner, ‘92 Miata, ‘67 Cougar, ‘99 Civic. I’ve owned 9 different vehicles in his 9 years, I need to keep going and make it 10 for 10.

With some minor upcoming house projects, I’ve been eyeing some inexpensive trucks. Mid aughts F150s are pretty cheap. Rangers look fun. Tacos are probably it of my budget. Pictured is a NOT inexpensive truck.

You’ve mentioned the third row before. I have a woke idea.

Sell both cars. Replace the GC with a three-row crossover of good value and space (Telluride, Pilot, etc.), and replace the 4Runner with a Tacoma, a Ranger, or another new truck. Because trucks get 20MPG now, my dad realized that for the occasional vegetative waste run or couch move, it was good to make a midsized truck his commuter. I have the same logic.

If the GC had a third row, you wouldn’t even need the 4Runner in the first place.
